Culberson Statement on Passage of FY 19 Department of Defense Appropriations Act

Following passage of H.R.6157 - Department of Defense Appropriations Act for 2019, Representative John Culberson (TX-07), Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science (CJS), issued the following statement.

"The FY 2019 Department of Defense Appropriations bill will provide our military with the resources, equipment, training, and support they need to protect our nation from existing and emerging threats.

"It dedicates $674.6 billion in total funding and gives our troops their largest pay raise in nine years. These critical investments will strengthen our national security and keep Americans safe.

"I thank Chairwoman Granger for incorporating many of my ideas into this bill. I'm proud that it takes care of our hard-working men and women in uniform and makes investments in critical programs and equipment to protect our great nation."
